When: 6 June
Where: France
How: Collided With a bus
What happened:
Former All Black Jerry Collins died when he and his wife crashed into a bus. He played 48 tests and scored 5 tries for the All blacks and also played in France, Wales and japan after leaving New Zealand. He played for the Hurricanes 47 times and he was known for his hard tackling. Police think they crossed the motor way and crashed into a bus. The accident is still under investigation. Police think Jerry's wife fell asleep when the crash happened and died.
My opinion:
I think his death is sad because Jerry Collins was a very good tackler and played very good rugby for the All Blacks. I think it is a big los to the rugby industry. He was also a young man. Also a young dad.
Well Done Oli this is great reporting. You have added a lot more detail in your own words about what happened and have a thought out opinion. It is pretty sad for his little baby girl to not have a mum and a dad too. 4 goodie tickets!
